Devi Dance Theater Youth ensemble is made up of ethnically diverse, enthusiastic and talented young dancers (in their teens) who have have developed creativity, and disipline both inside and outside the classroom. Though young they have charmed their audiences at prestigious public performances and well known dance festivals.
The premise of the youth ensemble is one of pursuing artistic excellence on stage and qualities of human excellence off stage and in life itself. These dancers pursue 5 levels of defined Kuchipudi syllabus to attain technical mastery. They are simaltaniuously encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of dance that is intially intellectual perhaps but becomes a centered knowing. Between their rigorous traning they are given quiet moments to dwell and search out.

* The dancer's relationship to the inner outer and physical space.
* Reflect on dancer's skeletal framework and it's arcihitechtural possibilities in dance.
* The roles of poetry, myth, and symbolism.
